Description: Original 1st Edition hand-coloured Geological Map Perth & Clackmannanshire Sheet 133, covering the Alva, Menstry, Blairlogie, Tullibody, Sauchie and Ochill Hills areas, on a scale of Six Inches to One Statute Mile. The map was geologically surveyed by the pioneers of the British Geological Survey, Sir Archibald Geikie and Benjamin Neeve Peach, and published in 1878 by Sir Andrew Crombie Ramsay (Director General). The map is printed on linen-backed thick paper and measures approximately 91cm x 61cm, with titles, notes, legends and scale bar on the wide margins. The whole sheet measures approximately 97cm x 65cm. The map itself is in good condition, although it has been overmarked in places and has several small tears around the edges (see photos). It is ideal for framing and would be of interest to local historians/collectors. (Postage outwith the UK to be confirmed.) Seller Ref: 304
