Description: A Military Medal and 1915 star medal trio to 12635 PTE B BOLT DEVON R (1/Devon R) Brinley BOLT was born in Torrington, Devon prior to living in Swansea. He lived as a servant at Twyn Farm, Glamorgan aged 17 and worked as a collier before enlisting in the 1st Devon Regiment in Sept 1914. He was then attached to the 179th Tunnelling Company in 1915 where he was wounded in action being shot in the face in 1917 returning to the Devon's in 1918. His MM was gazetted in June 1919 Comes with research and BOLT's original Soldiers small book .
