Description: OFFERED ... a set/lot of three framed reproduction prints that capture the essence of 19th Century folk art portraiture, offering a diverse glimpse into the vibrant cultural tapestry of the period, rendered in a style that embodies the simplicity and charm characteristic of folk art. The lot includes the following three prints: 1) Mrs. Seth Wilkinson by unidentified artist; probably eastern New York state, ca. 1825-1830, the original of which is an oil on yellow poplar panel, 30" x 25 1/2"; framed print measures 10" x 12" including frame.2) Children with Toys, attributed to Sturtevant J. Hamblin, probably Massachusetts, ca. 1845, the original of which is an oil on canvas, 36 1/4" x 29 1/8"; framed print measures 10 1/2" x 12 1/2".3) Eleazer Bullard, attributed to Erastus Salisbury Field, probably Lee Massachusetts, ca. 1835, the original of which is an oil on canvas, 34 1/2" x 28"; framed print measures 10" x 12" including frame. On the back side of each print is a label indicating they were probably acquired from the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Center, Williamsburg, Virginia. The Center was previously named the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Collection, having opened in 1957; name change to "... Center" in 1977; in 2000, to Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum. Now co-located with the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum; both collections retain their respective names; together known as the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg. These medium-sized prints are crafted on quality paper with matte; licensed reprints, ensuring that they faithfully represent the original artworks. They serve as a perfect addition for collectors or as a striking decorative piece for any room, bringing a touch of historical artistry into your space. The prints are framed under acrylic/plexiglas, not breakable glass.
