Artist: Angelica Kauffman (Swiss b. 1741 - d. 1807) Neoclassical styleEngraver: Francesco Bartolozzi (Italian b. 1727 - d. 1815) Print features woman sitting amongst trees holding an inkwell with a letter or writing on her lap. Owl in the upper right tree branch and a small black and white dog resting by her feet. Image size: 11 inches wide, 13-1/2 inches tallFrame: 16-5/8 inches wide, 19-5/8 inches tall, approx 7/8 inches deep Outer matte is ivory. Inner matte is blue and gold as shown. Print is in excellent condition with no noticeable fading to the colors. Frame is gold and in very good, solid, vintage condition. Some discoloration to the top of the frame as shown and backing paper is crumbling as shown. Print has not been examined outside of the frame.
