This example was purchased by me in the medieval section of Paris called Le Marais in May of 2000. Le Marais is filled with incredible little antiques dealers, from furniture to linens. This medium-sized painting depicts, most likely, a French boreal forest landscape with distant snow-capped mountains which are likely the Alps, a lovely little river with waterfall and a distant peasant figure.
