Description: Up for sale, a 1999 Guild X150 Savoy archtop in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and owner’s manual. One of the final Guild archtops crafted at the Westerly, RI factory prior to Guild’s relocation to CA (and shortly prior to the discontinuation of the Guild archtop line as a whole), this iteration of the X150 Savoy platform features a tiger flame maple body and a solitary HB-1 humbucker in the neck position. The X150 Savorys fully hollow maple body offers great natural resonance with a lively, articulate character and clear treble cut. The Fender-made HB-1 humbucker balances definition and warmth. The note attack is immediate, with a sparkling treble response and tight-yet-full lows. Weighing 7lbs 3oz, this X150 Savoy has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless. The original black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the owner’s manual.
