They both were crucial components of those two championship banners hanging in Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky. Ron Mercer was drafted #6 overall to the Boston Celtics and Derek Anderson was #13 overall to the Cleveland Caveliers in the 1997 NBA Draft.
