1997 ProFlex 757 Expert w/Noleen Crosslink Expert fork | Easton USA

Description: Now here's ANOTHER piece of vintage DH MTB history (literally just sold a nearly identical one this past week)! Here we have a 1997 Proflex 757 Expert complete with the original Noleen Crosslink Expert fork and Noleen rear suspension. NOTE: I'D LIKE TO KEEP THIS FRAMESET TOGETHER, BUT MAY END UP SELLING THE FRAME AND FORK SEPARATELY. IF INTERESTED IN ONE OR THE OTHER, PLEASE CONTACT ME! Just like the one I recently sold, this thing is an absolute TANK. It's made of welded Easton Custom ProGram Aluminum made exclusively for Proflex! The swingarm is incredibly beefy. There is no play whatsoever in the rear suspension (or the front, for that matter.) There are some signs of use on this frame, and a bit of storage damage on the top tube, as well as a few other spots here and there that are clearly evident in the photos. Nothing serious. The paint is in exceptionally good condition, it is apparently very thick. The Noleen Crosslink EXP fork is in great cosmetic condition. As with the rear NR-1 shock, it's safe to assume it will need service (if it doesn't, you're ahead of the game!) It's clear this bike was well taken care of. Steerer is of course 1-1/8". Seat post size is 27.2 mm. The bottom bracket spins nicely. The fork has been carefully removed from the frame to keep shipping costs as low as possible. I've also included the adapter thingies that go in the cable housing. The size as indicated on the decal on the frame is "LARGE" and I measure 20" from the center of the axle to the top of the seat tube. The effective top tube looks to be about 22.75". This is vintage DH frameset is straight and solid and ready for you to build to your specifications. You know what to do. Scoop this beauty up before someone else does ... RIGHT NOW! I have to use new cardboard boxes from Amazon ($12-$15 each) because my local bike shops can't always provide me with boxes in the sizes I need. Smaller frames ship with forks removed (if present), rear triangle blocked with wood, and lots, lots, LOTS of crumpled up newspaper to ensure the frame doesn't move around inside. Larger frames also ship with the rear triangle blocked with wood, and with any fork still attached. I use cardboard bracing in several key spots (front and rear brake bosses, bottom bracket, rear dropouts) along with heavy-duty zip ties to ensure the frame does not move around once the box is closed.
