Description: Hi! PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND IN ITS ENTIRETY! (I get paid by the word. LOL.)This is a Buy It Now listing for one factory sealed pack of Japanese Base Pokemon. I recently found several more Japanese base packs in my warehouse. For that reason I am selling a few more in 2024. I thought I would do something a little different and a little more fun. I did not weigh this pack. So your guess is as good as mine. So here is how I am pricing it. If I knew this pack were heavy, I would price it at around $725. (I sold more than 20 heavy Japanese Base packs within the last 27 months for MORE THAN $800 EACH.) If I knew it were light, my price would be around $350. So since the average for Japanese Base is one holo every three packs, there is a 3 to 1 chance this pack contains a holo. Therefore, I am pricing this at $424, which means if you get a holo in this pack, you made out very well. And if you don't get a holo in this pack, you probably overpaid by a few bucks--for now anyway. AND IF YOU DON'T OPEN IT, YOU WILL HAVE ONE UNOPENED JAPANESE BASE PACK THAT I BELIEVE WILL BE A GREAT INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE. My four children will each inherit one sealed box (60 packs) of Japanese Base. Please check out the one sealed box I currently have on eBay. In the past 18 months, I have sold heavy weighted packs for Japanese Base as high as $919, so you see that prices have come down quite a bit in the last two years. WHICH MEANS THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY! This is the pack that started it all! And now--when prices are ridiculously low-- is a great time to buy! I do know this. We are, in my opinion, at the BEGINNING of the rise in Pokemon prices. I said that 30 years ago about 1986, 1987 and 1988 Fleer Basketball boxes--and I was right! And prices for those three years are still LOW. Of course, I could be wrong, but I don't think so. One thing I have learned in the past 35 years is that when you think prices are high, they are really low. And when you think prices are low, they're really high. That is true in every market--real estate, art, and other collectibles. If you are familiar with my Buy It Now listings, you may know that I NEVER lower the listed price, so please do not ask for a discount. The price is $424 if you want it. If you don't want it, you would be overpaying by $424. The boring rules: 1) No discount. 2) Please add $17.85 for insured shipping if you live in the continental U.S. I also ship worldwide through eBay's Intwrnational Shipping Program. Check eBay for details. 3) Payment is due within FOUR days of purchase. If you can't pay for it within FOUR days, please don't buy it. 4) I am proud of my feedback on eBay, encompassing more than 7,500 separate transactions over the past 23 years. 5) I ship quickly and I pack carefully. 6) My weekly Pokemon auctions always start at 88 cents with no reserve. Check them out. You might want to look at my Buy It Now listings too. 7) If you have a question, please ask. 8) I specialize in rare but affordable memorabilia and collectibles with primary focus on Pokemon cards and plush, sports cards, framed and unframed photos, Marilyn Monroe items (somebody has to do it!) and rare Beanie Babies. 9) The most important rule of all--DON'T FORGET RULE NUMBER ONE! Thanks. Jerry P.S. If you win more than one item within a four-day period, I always combine shipping costs. So if you win more than one item within that time frame, don't pay until I send you an invoice that combines shipping costs. P.P.S. Unweighed. From a sealed box purchased by me in 1999. P.P.P.S. A couple of eBayers have asked me in the past if this is a 1st edition Base pack. THERE IS NO SUCH THING. What they are referring to is the price on the pack. The first Japanese Base packs were priced at 291 yen; several months later they were re-priced at 300 yen. Other than that, there is NO difference. The 291 yen packs do not have 1st edition marked anywhere on the cards. Only the price was changed. Finally, if you are interested in a sealed box of Japanese base, check my listing on eBay. It is the only sealed box of Japanese base I will ever sell. The other boxes I have of Japanese base will be inherited by my four children. Hey, I don't have a villa in Antigua or Italy to leave them!
