Description: This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC Aerospace Engineer that was part of ABMA and NASA working with Wernher von Braun on the pioneering Rocket Team. Mr. Jerry Thomson was ultimately responsible for the development and Testing of the "H1", J2 and F1 Rocket Engines and eventually put in charge of the Shuttle "SSME" development in 1968, Lastly from 1971-86 he served as Chief Engineer for the Space Shuttle Main Engine where he helped design the RS-25. After retiring from NASA, Mr. Thomson joined Aerojet as a Chief Scientist for advanced propulsion working directly with Soviet companies Approving and Testing Rocket Engines right after the East Germany wall came down.
