Bold, blond and beautiful, Thelma Todd, Hollywood's Queen of Comedy in the 1980s, was living a wild life of dangerous excess, flirting with alcohol, drugs and mobsters like Lucky Luciano. On a chilly night in December 1935, her battered body was discovered slumped behind the wheel of her Lincoln Phaeton convertible in a garage above the restaurant that bore her name, "Thelma Todd's Sidewalk Cafe." In spite of the bruises on her face and body, authorities immediately declared Todd's death a suicide and closed the case. Or so they thought. Instead, Thelma Todd's death remains Hollywood's greatest unsolved mystery.
