1988 Dolls Of The World Collection Mexican Barbie Doll Mattel MIB No Necklace

Description: From the Dolls of the World Collection, 1988 version of Mexican Barbie doll - No. 1917 by Mattel. Fun fact: this Barbie’s face mold was also used for the first Teresa (California Dream) doll when she was introduced the same year. Barbie includes all accessories listed on her box EXCEPT for her necklace, it is missing. Additional accessories include: earrings, decorative comb, ring, shoes, hairbrush and doll stand. Like many dolls in this collection, more accessories can be cut out from the side of her box such as a passport, guide book, tour tickets and money. Please note that much of our Barbie collection was purchased from other collectors or from doll conventions over the years. We have no way of knowing how many previous owners each item we’re selling may have had. We have not removed this doll from the box. The top of the box appears to have either come unglued at some point or a previous owner opened it as it has been taped back together. Outer box displays some minor shelf wear, creases are noted particularly at top, bottom and corners, although Barbie remains in great condition inside. Stored in a smoke-free (but not pet free!) home by an adult collector. Questions are welcome, however; please ask before bidding or "buy it now" as all sales are final.
