Description: 1987 Mongoose Decade - Old School Freestyle BMX Bike Mint Green (Restored to Ride) Got this in 1987 after my green Skyway Street Styler was stolen out of my garage. Rode for 2 years until I started skateboarding and got my driver's licence in 1990. Sat in my parent's shed for a few decades until I had it restored from my local bike shop in 2018. Rode it twice and has been sitting in my shed ever since. Would like to give it a good home for someone who has an appreciation for vintage 80's freestyle bikes. All original parts except new tires, new brake pads, and new brake cables replaced by bike shop. Original mags were replaced with light purple Peregrine Master Mags sometime in the early 90's. Brand new Odyssey GT Performer Pegs were added to the back along with new Odi Mushroom Grips when I got it back from the shop. There is some surface rust throughout the frame and handle bars (see pics) as well as the crank arms which I was told some could be removed by scrubbing lightly but I never tried. Can definitely be cleaned up but sturdy and ready to ride. I'm listing this as PICK UP ONLY. Shipping this would be too much of a pain and I don't want to undo the good work Watertown Cycle Center did for me by taking it apart.
