This approx 1 Inch thick - 700 page book was produced by GENERAL MOTORS of CANADA and is NOT the same as the US book. Canadian GM Manual books are rare, and are different from those printed in the US. They are usually better illustrated and contain more useful information. Almost all of the part numbers are the same as the US parts except for some minor trim pieces. The book measures 8 1/2 by 11 inches and is approx 1 inch thick. It was issued to GM Dealers in 1992. It covers the complete 1984 to 1992 CHEVROLET - CORVETTE - "Y" BODY LINE This is the original book that GM dealership parts & service departments used to order parts. You will find original parts numbers, which are still useful today because most parts vendors still use those numbers to keep track of their own stock. The illustrations in the book will help you to identify parts, and the exploded views can aid you with the assembly or disassembly of some parts of the vehicle. With this book being a MASTER PARTS CATALOG (Groups 1 to 15), it has the PART NUMBERS, IDENTIFICATION DATA, NUMBER DECODING and IS FULLY ILLUSTRATED. This book has the ALPHABETICAL and NUMERICAL INDEX which is great for checking part number applications. Other sections not found in most parts catalogs are the CARBURETOR, DISTRIBUTOR and ALTERNATOR Breakdowns with illustrations. This book also shows the current and superseded part numbers, which is like having multiple catalogs from each year. This book is a highly sought after factory master parts catalog, because of its very detail illustrations. The book is generally in a good used condition, but it has been used in a garage, and does have some greasy finger smudges on some pages. All graphics are bright and clear. The cover spline does show some wear, from being stored in a storage container for the past 20 years, with a faulty heater. The damage is only to the cover and spline - all inside pages are intact and in good condition This book is a MUST HAVE if you own or are restoring on of these early Corvette cars that people consider to be classics. They are a great addition if you are looking for that special part at a swap meet. We have large quantity of similar manuals that we will be listing this week. They were purchased from a auction of a General Motors dealer repair shop that went out of business. I believe the books may have been is storage for 10 to 15 years, and a have a little dust on the spline. Even though this book is for a 1984 to 1992 I am sure most information can be used for other year models as well, as there was not many changes between the years. These books are invaluable if you are able to do your own repair work. A similar manual on a car I owned saved me over $800.00 on a repair that I could do myself, as opposed to having a dealer do the service work. The book should pay for itself after only one use. This book is a MUST HAVE if you are still driving or using one of these older model vehicles.
