Description: Published by Hugh Lauter Levin Associates, Distributed by the Scribner Book Companies, FIRST EDITION presumed - no edition information provided on copyright page. NICELY INSCRIBED, DATED (5/23/85) AND SIGNED BY ARTIST THOMAS McKNIGHT. The signature has not been authenticated, but is consistent with others easily found online, including another example of him similarly inscribing this book at the same signing, apparently, as it had the same date. The book is in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with only light wear to dust jacket edges - it is otherwise clean, fully intact including price, and now handsomely portrayed in a mylar jacket. Clean bright red cloth boards with gilt titling front cover and spine, no further markings in 120 clean and solidly bound glossy pages with no age-toning around the edges. A faint hint of foxing seen on fore-edges of the pages. This book gathers paintings and silkscreens by the American artist and shares McKnight's thoughts on his career, style, and technique. On the artist from his website: "The worldwide appeal of Thomas McKnight's prints, paintings, and posters place him in an elite group of contemporary artists whose work can be instantly recognizable as his own. Be it a carnival in Venice, a sun-drenched street in Greece, a cozy well -furnished room, a tropical beach, or a mythological scene, McKnight's images invite you to experience the unfettered joy of living."
