Description: This listing is for the 1983 White House Historical Association Christmas ornament, in its original box, accompanied by the ornament’s story card describing the inspiration for its design and relevant historical background. Each original White House Christmas ornament is finished in 24-karat gold. 1983 The White House, Honoring John Adams, Second President of the United States, 1797–1801. Adams was the first president to live in the White House and the ornament depicts the north facade of the house as he would have known it, before the addition of the columned portico so familiar to us today. This is my own ornament, lovingly used each year and returned and stored in the original box. Conditions: The box cover has is broken on one edge, and is circled in the photo. Also, two corners are broken on the bottom of the box, as shown in the photos. My selling method is to disclose any imperfections I see, and to provide as many photos as I would want to see if I were the buyer. In the event I may have missed something, I ask that you please review all thephotos, as they are part of the description and depict as much as I can provide in writing.
