This complete set includes a total of 42 items and has a face value of $20.53. The stamps and postal stationery issued in 1983 include: Pearl Buck; Thomas H. Gallaudet; Henry Clay; Dorothea Dix; Carl Schurz; American Eagle; Railroad Handcar (strip of two); Motorcycle (strip of two); Sleigh (strip of two); Omnibus (strip of two); Offical Mail Stamps (6 singles & a strip of two); Flag Over the Supreme Court (block of ten); World Communications Year Aerogramme; Olympics Aerogramme; Official Mail embossed envelope; Paralyzed Veterans embossed envelope; Nonprofit embossed envelope; and the following Postal Cards: Official Mail, Landing of Oglethorpe, Olympics Speedskating, Olympics Yachting & Old Washington D.C. Post Office. The mint set features a twenty page folio/album, with mylar mounts for displaying the stamps. The album provides a description of each stamp, along with the designer, plus the date and location of the first day of issue. All stamps have been carefully placed behind the protective mylar, and are unmounted so that they can be removed if desired. All of the stamps and the album are in mint condition. Included is the original cardboard card/insert and white protective envelope, all of which are also in mint condition (except for some bumping to the bottom corners of the envelope, and a crease/fold running along the entire length of the top of the envelope).
