Half Finished- Louisiana 3127, the planned "superhighway" cutting through the West Bank of the River Parishes, passed the halfway point with the dedication Thursday by state officials and River Parishes legislators of a 10-mile, $18.2 million stretch linking Edgard and Vacherie. The ceremony was at the new terminus of the road, its intersection with Louisiana 20 in Vacherie. Bids for two more legs of the roadway are to be let in February and October of 1982. The highway now is 23 miles long; when completed, it will be more than 42 miles long and will link Boutte in St. Charles Parish with the Sunshine Bridge at Donaldsonville.
