1981 Gibson Flying V Heritage Korina A Series Natural with Hardshell Case CLEAN!

Description: The serial number is "A 221" and it dates to 1981. Two of the pots date to 1980 and one is from 1979. This is one of the rare Korina ones that were only made for a few years in the early 80's! The body is in excellent condition overall with no major dings. There are some light streaks visible in the light, but nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage guitar. There is some checking on the top and in a few areas but it's not too noticeable. There are also some finish cracks along the neck joint, but they are not into the wood and are a common cosmetic issue on vintage Gibsons.The neck is straight and the frets show only light wear. It's in excellent playing condition with no major issues. The fretboard and back of the neck are clean with no dings or worn areas. The headstock has a few small finish chips around the tuner bushings, but no cracks, repairs or extra holes. The nut is 1.70" wide, the neck measures 0.86" thick at the 1st fret and 0.96" thick at the 12th fret.The guitar has had some changes over the years. The pickups had been changed to DiMarzios when I got it but I was able to find a set of Shaw era ones and install them. There are no dates stamps, but they are from the early 80's and measure 7.85 Ω (Bridge) and 7.76 Ω (Neck). The pickup covers and knobs are also new. The original pickguard had two extra holes for coil tap switches, so I installed a new one (the original is included if you want to put it back on). The pots, switch, tailpiece, bridge and tuners are original. All of the wiring is original and everything is in excellent working condition.It comes with a new Gibson case which has no signs of wear on the outside. All of the latches, hinges and handle are in excellent working order and the interior has no bad odors. These run over $10K when they're 100% and this is one of the finest ones you'll ever see, so grab it while you can!Actual weight is 6 lbs 10 oz.Please note that I do not set up my guitars before mailing.
