Description: Storyteller Singing Mother With many Children Figurine Native American 3.5”. This sweet storyteller is small yet packed with detail, with three children atop her head, many more in her arms, and several in her lap. There is even one crawling at her feet. The storyteller form first appeared in Native American pottery at Cochiti Pueblo, New Mexico, in 1963, and represents the oral tradition of Indian culture. This is a resin form of what normally is found in pottery. These resin figurines were especially popular in the 1980s and could be found in gift shops in places like the Santa Fe Plaza and the Old Town Plaza in Albuquerque. Wonderful gift for the mother or grandmother person who passes on traditions and stories to the family as a way of preserving the family's culture. This figurine measures just under 3-3/4" tall by about 1-5/8" wide and 3-3/5" in depth. In good vintage condition, I am very happy to combine multiple purchases also i have many of small items that can easily be combined. This reduces the overall mailbox costs which I will refund you.
