1980s Pair of LC2 Petit Modele Lounge Chairs Le Corbusier Jeanneret & Perriand

Description: This is a pair of original LC2 Petit Modele Lounge Chairs, initially designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier and his collaborators, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. The listed price includes the pair of chairs as shown. The silhouette is widely considered to be the ultimate triumph in Bauhaus ingenuity, evident in its tubular chromed-steel construction. The aforementioned designers referred to these pieces as “household equipment”, a rather amusing way to look at furniture. These examples were produced in Italy in the 1980s by Cassina, and the chair frames are properly engraved and serialized as such. Each chair measures 27.6 inches deep, 29.9 inches wide, and 26.4 inches high. Their seat height is 18.9 inches. There are some small scuffs and scratches on the bases, and some light wear to the edges of the leather. The black leather has a patina, and shows scratches and creasing. Overall, this pair is in very good condition. Please see photos.
