Description: The 1980 Teijin calendar features a selection of pictures of beautiful women by Utagawa Kunisada, a painter of the latter Edo period who's reputation ranks with that of Utagawa Kuniyoshi. Kunisada is noteworthy for his technique of depicting the beauty of his subjects through glimpses of their activities in daily life. This calendar attempts to reproduce the splendid coloring and contrast of the original works. The calendar is from 1980. There are 6 pictures (1 for every 2 months). The pictures are attached at the top of the calendar and can easily be separated for framing (see 2nd to last photo). The colors are stunning as is the detail, unfortunately my camera fails to capture their beauty. Made in Japan. The calendar is about 21" (53.34 cm) long, 11 5/8" (29.5275 cm) wide. Each picture is 14" (35.56 cm) long and 9 3/4" (24.765 cm) wide. The calendar will shipped rolled up inside a shipping tube. Thank you for looking, please let us know if you have questions.
