It is a 1979, USA made , 25th Anniversary Fender Stratocaster in a very rare white finish. This guitar plays great and looks good but it has some very bad chipping and other issues on the finish which we have shown in the photos. First off, like all of these 1979 strats, it weighs a ton, weighing in at 9 pounds, 3.80 ounces. This guitar has an aftermarket white moto case which we consider an add on. In fact, if you don’t like the case and are willing to take this guitar in a gig bag we can knock $400.00 off the price. This 79' Anniversary Strat has lived a long life . Playing wise, this Strat is ready as the day it was bought to be jammed out on again. Aside from the wear and checks on the finish, everything on it is in nice shape. More info in the white finish of the 25th Anniversary Stratocaster from the Rory Gallagher website: Fender representatives Don Johnston and Larry Newman presented Rory with a brand new Pearl White 25th Anniversary Strat in New York in November 1979. The guitar was produced by Fender in 1979 as a limited run to celebrate the 25th year of production. The Strat featured a four-bolt maple neck with a large headstock and Sperzel tuners, standard Strat synchronized tremolo and three single-coil pickups. The first batch of 500 guitars was sprayed in a white finish that happened to turn yellow over-time, so Fender quickly changed it to a custom silver paint which was used on the rest of the 10,000 guitars which were produced under this line. the guitar is all original , and overall it is a great example of a 1979 strat that is ready to add to your collection or playing arsenal.
