THE DECALS ON THE TRUCK IN THE PHOTOS ARE SOME OF OUR REPRODUCTIONS. In 1979 Ford provided the Mustang as the Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500 mile race. In addition they also provided pickup trucks for use at the speedway. Ford used this as a marketing tool and built several thousand of the “Indianapolis 500 Official Truck”s. When those trucks were shipped to the dealerships, the large tri color body side decals were already affixed to the truck having been installed at the factory. HOWEVER, the door lettering and winged wheel decals for the fenders were packaged in a box and shipped in the seat of the truck. IF THE CUSTOMER wanted the lettering installed, the lettering would be applied by the respective dealers. Many of these trucks were sold without lettering or winged wheel decals. We have owned approximately 15 of these trucks over the years and we’ve accumulated a fair amount of parts as you might expect. We have what I believe to be the only complete ORIGINAL FORD New Old Stock decal kit left on the planet. We have also acquired several of the original door kits over the years. We decided to sacrifice one of those original winged wheel decals and paid a professional sign shop to apply it to a metal panel, scan it and reproduce it exactly. Because we used those original decals to scan, these winged wheel decals are as close to the originals as we can make them. YOU ARE BUYING ONLY ONE FENDER DECAL.
