We are offering this Mid-20th Century Modernist Abstract Fall Forest Landscape oil painting signed C. Tessier titled "Metamorphose" (Metamorphosis) dated 1977. This work features an extremely energetic and sophisticated composition with spontaneous applications of relief oil paint over canvas. This painting's colours include green, red, yellow, blue, browns, cream and black. The work measures approximately 33.25" height by 29.5" width in the frame. The painting's surface measures approximately 32" height by 28" width (accurate). The painting is in excellent condition and there are no damages. The original natural wood frame is in fine condition with some basic indications of use. While the frame is very functional, some bidders may wish to consider having the painting reframed to best compliment the high-quality of this work. The painting is signed to the front lower right "C.Tessier 77". A note on the reverse of the artwork accompanies the work with the title, artist's name and a note in french "Huile sur toile" (oil on canvas) that is affixed to the rear.
