The 1977 Shakey's Pizza All-Time Superstar card set was underwritten by the Washington State Sports Collectors Association (WSSCA) for 5 Seattle area Shakey's Pizza parlors. They only produced 2000 of each card in this set making the complete set very scarce. Between the low production number and the fact that the solid red borders are very unforgiving in terms of grading; it's extremely rare to find cards from this set graded so high. All the players in this set are members of the Hall of Fame. Photographs were provided by a Chicago area photo seller, the late Jim Rowe.
