Description: For the Baseball Hobbyist. . . 1977 Seattle-Area Shakey's Pizza All-Time Superstars: #8 - MICKEY COCHRANE, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Athletics Single card from 1977 set featuring Baseball's All-Time Superstars ~ The Greatest Players of the Pre-Expansion Era From 1975 to 1977, Seattle-area Shakey's Pizza restaurants underwrote the production and redemption of more than 200 baseball cards. Originally, 2,000 prints of each card were produced but due to an accounting error (as well as normal attrition) it is estimated that fewer than 1,000 of each these red border cards survive today. This card features a red, white and blue color scheme (front side) with black and white photograph. Photographs were provided by Chicago area photo seller, the late Jim Rowe, and contain a number of great images originally shot by George Burke, George Brace and others. The back is red and black ink on white, features brief word snapshots and seasonal best statistics. Shakey's logo and a list of the 5 Seattle-area locations complete the reverse. The card size is 2-1/4" by 3" - slightly smaller than today's standard card.
