The map was published by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Highways in 1976 and is dated in the legend. The cover photograph shows a detail from the painting by the Louis Eugene Lami, "Storming of Redoubt No. 10, Yorktown," Old Senate Chamber of the Capitol, Riohmond.
