Description: 1976 Press Photo Mayor Henry Drees Loses Bet and Stays in Oconto County Jail This is an original press photo. Peshtigo Mayor Henry Drees ate humble pie Saturday while serving a two hour term in the Oconto County Jail. Drees was on the losing end of an election bet with Oconto Mayor William Bake (left). Each mayor agreed to push for a big voter turnout in his community. The loser was to spend two hours in solitary confinement in the opponent's County Jail. Bake won when 85% of Oconto's voters turned out last Tuesday to 76% for Peshtigo. Oconto County Sheriff Gerald Gehiman locked up Drees. (Henry Drees)Photo measures 10 x 7inches.
