Description: This banner is around fifty years old and is not perfect. There are stains, dirt, and a small cut. All of these blemishes are detailed in the photos. The banner feels like it is made of a canvas type material. The banner has been folded and in storage for decades. It will be mailed in the same condition. Some NASCAR history here based on what I was able to find. I believe this banner is from the 1973 to 1975 timeframe when Carling was an active sponsor on the NASCAR Winston Cup Grand National circuit. Carling was the primary sponsor of three drivers during this time frame. Larry Smith - Won Rookie of the Year in 1972 driving a Carling sponsored entry. Was killed at Talledega in 1973 in the Carling entry. Earl Ross - Sponsored by Carling following Smith's death. Went on to win a race at Martinsville, finished 8th in points, and won Rookie of the Year. Cale Yarborough - Carling also sponsored the Junior Johnson team in mid-1974 when Roos was struggling and went on to win four races and finish second in Winston Cup points.
