Description: Up for your consideration is a 1971 Porsgrund of Norway Father's Day or Fars Dag plate. The plate depicts a father and his daughter in a boat fishing. The girl has managed to hook a fish. This was the first issue in the series. The dish comes with its original box (without the plastic cover). The plate measures about 5 1/4 inches across and weighs 7 7/8 ounces in the box. The back of the plate is marked at the top: 1971 Fars Dag platten er den forste i en sameleserie Begrenset opplag. Then, there is the Porsgrund name and an anchor, followed by 1971 Father's Day Plate - First Issue - Limited Edition Series - Porsgrund Porselensfabrik Norway - B (in script). There is a small hole on the back of this plate for hanging it. The plate is in excellent, like-new condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are no signs of wear or use.
