Description: Ed Litton is a renowned longtime Bay Area frame builder and painter who has painted some of the finest American and European frames around. Ed had a terrible accident a few weeks ago and is in hospital, currently paralized from the waist down. A Go Fund Me account has been established for his benefit, and I am donating 100% of the proceeds of this sale to his account. So open your hearts in this season of giving and help me help Ed out. Another friend of ours has said he will match whatever I am able to donate, so your purchase will mean that much more to Ed and his family. This is a spectacular 1971 Colnago Super that Ed Litton painted in the late 90s. I've had it twenty years. It fits me perfectly but still I've ridden it very little as it is so nicely restored. Ed had the original "playing-card" decals reproduced and it is painted in a very nice red. It has period correct Campagnolo Nuovo Record parts on it, including No-Record hubs, No-date crank, and 1971-dated derailleur. Other parts include my favorite Fiamme Yellow-label rims, 3ttt buffalo saddle, 3ttt Grand Prix bar and stem, Christophe clips with Binda straps, Regina Oro freewheel and derailleur. Size is 54.5, measured the correct way for 1971, center to top, with a 54.5 top tube. Currently has 22mm racing sewups on it but can take a somewhat wider tire. Bike will be professionally packed, and shipped via UPS. I have just received the sad news that Ed passed away last night, December 15. His injuries were too severe. I'm keeping the auction up and will still donate to the GoFundMe, as I'm sure his family will face a mountain of debt from this. Please keep Ed in your thoughts.
