Description: Offering in GOOD CONDITION... a vintage 30th BING CROSBY NATIONAL PRO-AM 1971 PROGRAM 30th YEAR - A MILESTONE - SPECIAL EDITION known for decades as the "CROSBY CLAMBAKE" and held at PEBBLE BEACH, CYPRESS POINT and SPYGLASS HILL Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the tournament... There are special tributes summarizing each year.There are tons of photographs and there is one page with six Snoopy cartoons for all of you Peanuts fans. This RARE 53 year old program is in GOOD CONDITION but it is in far from perfect shape. Here is a detailed description of the flaws... There is some slight wrinkling to the front cover and some slight soiling to the back cover.There are also several pages with... edgewear along the top consisting of what appear to be several small 1/2 inch long pen marks on the top of three or four pages, slight wrinkling along the top and a number of tiny stains here and there. (See photos #5, #9 and #11.) There are two tiny chips to the top of two of the pages. (And I mean tiny like smaller than the size of a peppercorn.) And along the very top of the center two pages there are two small areas of missing paper flanking the seam that are each about one inch long and half an inch tall indicating they were stuck together at one point and gently separated. (This is pictured in photo #14 with a bold red arrow pointing to it.) My assumption isthis program was purchased on a rainy day at Pebble and the owner did a real good job of not letting it get soaked.(And sorry for being so verbose. It's not as bad as it sounds. I just wanted to cover everything condition-wise.) See pictures. What you see is what you get. Still a fairly nice shape specimen for your collection. And a special issue for collectors what with the scrapbookof memories from the first twenty-nine Clambakes. No other year did Crosby programs do anything like this.
