Here is one of the most unique items I have come across, acquired from an estate connected to a political dignitary that traveled the world, including 1970s era Soviet Union russia. Amongst the items at the estate sale included photographs of iconic Russian politicians including Brezhnev Kruschev. This fascinating very large, very colorful, and detailed two-sided silk banner promoting unions in the Soviet union, and with a large image of Vladimir Lenin on one side, and symbols of presumably Russian trade or labor unions on the other, and the iconic Russian hammer and sickle insignia on the other side, measures a whopping 68 inches by 41 inches roughly, and has beautiful detail and colorful symbols all around with lots of Russian writing, that I cannot decipher. But I was told that this was a union propaganda banner, and the condition is pretty good, for being about 50 years old. The beautiful colorful silk banner does reflect some age and light fading and spots, but there are no tears or rips in the fabric. It is very bright colorful silk on two sides with different images on each side, and with yellow tassels all around. Please review photos and feel free to ask questions.
