I don't think the maps came from a smoke-free home, and may have a slight odor to them. I personally didn't think it was quite strong, but it may be apparent when you open the map up. Please be advised about this before your purchase. I will gladly add photos if requested. In order to keep shipping costs down, I will ship first class in a single business sized envelope. If you require that the map be more securely mailed (ie, between rigid pieces of cardboard), please let me know, so I can adjust shipping costs.
