Description: For your consideration, I have a vintage Seiko World Timer 6117-6400 from October 1970. All original Seiko in very good condition. The unpolished stainless steel case has some minor scratches, though presents quite nicely. The original Seiko stainless steel railroad bracelet is in very good condition. The Seiko 17 jewel automatic movement was professionally serviced recently and is keeping excellent time and functioning perfectly. World time ring rotates smoothly via crown as it should. Beautiful gray linen dial with burnt orange accents and red world time hand provide a nice pop of color. This world time dial is often referred to as an "error dial" due to GMT and London having separate/different time zones; however, this is not exactly true. Back when Seiko made this watch, Britain was experimenting with a "continuous summertime" which was GMT+1, so indeed this dial was accurate in its day. The experiment ran from 1968 to 1971. A nice bit of history for this marvelous vintage timepiece. Modern Seiko box included for storing your timepiece when it is not being worn. Please examine photos closely and ask me any questions prior to purchase as I do not take returns on timepieces. Thank you for looking and be well.
