Description: This manufactured part fits inside the black plastic 1970 Fire Truck switch and other early Hess trucks . It looks a lot like the original metal piece that sits inside the switch. One of the pictures shows an original contact on the right next to the new copper replacement on the left. I had a number of these made because I got tired of losing originals. The part has two sharp points that fit into the two holes on the plastic portion. The holes on the plastic will need to be slightly enlarged for the contact to hold, fit and lay flat just a bit above the top of the metal switch box. If the contact is not pressed down far enough then the switch box cover will not go on (Picture 2). Once properly installed no other metal pieces are needed (picture 5). Pictures 4 and 5 show a comparison between the original contact properly installed and the new copper contact. The part will be shipped with tracking.
