Description: This is an OEM/NOS Convenience Group package that fits a 1970 Mustang. The Convenience Group was an upgrade option available for the 1970 Mustang (I believe it was a standard option on the Boss 429). It includes Parking Brake Warning Light, Headlight On & Key in Ignition Warning Buzzer when the driver door is open, and Automatic Seat Latch Release when the Driver or Passenger door is opened. The Convenience Group is a rare option that will separate your Mustang from most of the rest. This is a used system that was removed from a non-op car. This OEM Convenience Group Package is complete with all wiring, relays, switches, and solenoids. Most of the components are labeled on the wiring harness. The wiring is in good shape, no issues, however, I do not know the operating condition of the relays, switches, and solenoids as they sit today. Because of this, I am including, along with the original equipment of this option, all new NOS relays, switches, and solenoids. The originals may work just fine, in that case, you will have spare parts. If they don’t work, then you will have new parts, so this package works properly. I am also including 2 items that were not part of this convenience group package but was part of the rare illumination package. The convenience group wiring bundle includes wiring connections for these 2 items so I will include them as a bonus: -Map light – this map light mounts, I believe, under the dash above the clock on the passenger side. There is an area for this light if you look under the dash in this area. The light activates via a slide switch or if the glove box is opened. -Trunk Light – This light mounts in the trunk and is connected to the convenience package wiring for power. There are 3 issues I observed with this package: - The original, of this package, Parking Brake Light that says “Park” in white letters is fading, so I am also including a replacement for this. - I believe it is a power fuse, it is very rusted. Not sure if it is still working, but probably should be replaced, see pictures. I do not have one to add to this package, but is an easy part to obtain. - The passenger side where the door switches attach, it is wired for a 2-prong and a 3-prong switch. For the seat latch to release when the passenger door is open, the 3-prong connection and switch must be used. The 2-prong will just sit there out of view. I am not sure why it is wired this way, but it is. I believe the driver door is a 3-prong switch that comes standard on all Mustangs. Here is a list of original equipment OEM parts included: - 1 Convenience Group Wiring Harness - 2 D0ZZ-6562690-A Seat Latch Solenoid - 1 D0VY-14512-A Relay Assembly - 1 D0AZ-10C838-A Seat Latch Relay - 1 D0AB-13150-G Ignition & Headlight Buzzer - 1 C9WY-15A851-A Park Brake Switch - 2 3-Prong Door Switches - 1 2-Prong Door Switch (I don’t remember why this is there. It may just be an extra I had ???) Here is a list of the Extra and NOS parts that are included: - 2 D0ZZ-6562690-A Seat Latch Solenoid (NOS) - 1 D0VY-14512-A Relay Assembly (NOS) - 1 D0AZ-10C838-A Seat Latch Relay (NOS) - 1 D0AB-13150-G Ignition & Headlight Buzzer (NOS) - 1 C9WY-15A851-A Park Brake Switch (NOS) - 1 D1AZ-13713-E SW1055 3 Prong Passenger Door Switch NOS (For seat latch release, when passenger door is open. The passenger switch is nominally a 2-prong switch, for the seat latch, it needs to be a 3-prong switch. The driver door comes standard with a 3-prong switch). - 1 Trunk Light OEM - 1 Map Light NOS? This light looks new, so I believe it is NOS, but it could be OEM. - 1 Park Light OEM (Replaces the one that comes with this package, this one is in better condition for a cleaner look) I have photos that show where all the parts were mounted. If you like, after sale of this package, I will email the photos I have to assist in the installation. I do not have photos of where the solenoids mount for the auto seat latch release. I have installed these solenoids before, so I can walk the buyer thru it. Note: when installing the seat latch release solenoids in the seats and wiring, leave enough slack in the wiring for the seats to move forward 7 back, so not to break the wires when the seats move. Please review photos and ask any questions you may have. This part has been boxed in my garage for over 20 years.
