Quentin Tomich provides a detailed account of Hawaiian mammals in this first edition. Alongside more a more biological discussion of whales, dolphins, the island's rodents, and common diseases affecting mammals in the region, the volume also includes sections on the Hawaiian names for mammals and their depiction in art. From the library of the acclaimed zoologist Desmond Morris, best known for his 1967 sociobiological work ‘The Naked Ape, and his popular television programme 'Zoo Time'. Morris was also an ethnologist and surrealist painter. CONDITION In the publisher's original red cloth binding. Externally, lovely, with just a little bumping to the extremities.
