Description: This is a program for the 49ers vs Browns game played November 3, 1968 at old Kezar Stadium. Program is in very good condition. Original owner put a plastic covering on the front & back cover. Page 41 has come free from the staples but is still in the program. 49ers were led by QB John Brodie, RB Ken Willard, RB John David Crow, Charlie Krueger, Matt Hazeltine, & LB Dave Wilcox. The Browns were led by QB Bill Nelsen, WR Paul Warfield, RB Leroy Kelly, OL Monty Clark (future 49ers Head Coach), and DL Walter Johnson. The Browns were in the process of a 10 - 4 1968 record that would take them to the NFL Championship game where they lost to the Colts 34 - 0. In this game, the 49ers jumped out to a 14 - 3 lead in the 2nd quarter thanks to John Brodie TD passes to John David Crow and Clifton McNeil. However, the Browns defense then rose up and intercepted 2 Brodie passes and recovered three 49ers fumbles. This helped Cleveland score 30 consecutive points and move out front 33 - 14. Leroy Kelly led the Browns offense with 174 yards in 27 carries with one TD. John Brodie finished the day completing 23 0f 37 passes for 241 yards and three TDs. Final score Browns 33 - 49ers 21. Any questions let me know.
