Description: In late 1966 I was signed with the Peanut Butter Conspiracy to Columbia Records and part of the deal was I was given a 1966 Fender Precision Bass. I appeared with this bass in two years of Fender booklets (see picture) along with pictures of others – Bob Dylan, Beach Boys, etc. That bass was stolen in New York while on tour. Fender then gave me this bass, a 1967 FENDER PRECISION BASS , F series, serial #205351, and I played it on our second album “Great Conspiracy” and subsequent recordings and tours. The case became unusable from touring and my friend, Colin Cameron, gave me one of his that is included in this listing and shows decals of his while touring. I am the sole owner of this instrument and am not going to take it apart. I had removed the chrome guards and have included them (no screws). The last live performance with it was at Amoeba Records in Hollywood for a concert in 2010 for the Rhino Records release of the box set “Where The Action Is! Nuggets 1965-68” (see picture). This is a fine, solid instrument and has never had a problem or needed repair. I’m sure that any of you interested in this instrument know what the dimensions are and the weight and all that. The markings seen when taken apart will I’m sure be what is expected. I’m 80 years old now and that’s why I’m selling it. .
