These original unmolested cars are among the rarest of the rare and are rising to the top of the Corvette food chain. Restorers use them as guideposts for authentic restorations, shining a light on the way vehicles were originally built and represent the standards which historians, judges, and enthusiasts determine factory authenticity. This car is solid. The solid feel of an excellent unrestored car cannot be overstated. I own several Corvettes and this is my favorite to drive. This car is complete with all numbers matching including affirmation by CCAS/Al Grenning as to the legitimacy and originality of the engine block and the engine stamp. This car is optioned with 427/390hp motor, M-20 4-spd, 3:36 posi, SS bakes, AM/FM radio, aluminized exhaust, tinted glass, rally wheels, 7.75x15” white stripe tires. Paint is original code 988 Marlboro Maroon with black interior, carpet, panels, dash, seats. Most all factory original components including the spare, jack, jack tools, seat belts, washer system, engine shielding, air cleaner, alternator, hoses, hose clamps, gas door assembly, glove box door, owners manual, sales brochure. Documented with the original ‘tank” sticker. It is my favorite car to drive and is a constant head tuner and conversation starter. The original laquer paint has some checking and fading but looks amazing for 57yrs of age. The clutch will need some attention at some point as you have to drive it “easy” as it wants to slip under harder acceleration. I use racing type fuel with a 3yr shelf-life and it helps on cold starts, and longer periods of storage. There will be no disappointment with the purchase of this rare time capsule. It has been a pleasure to own and occasionally drive. Always stored in a climate controlled garage. Previous owners stated the same. Car cover included with the sale.
