Description: One of the first “electric/acoustic” models on the market, the J-160E was made famous in the hands of John Lennon and the Beatles. All the mojo of a J-45 with the added open P-90 in the neck position. This 1965 J-160E is in remarkable condition with no cracks and mild playwear. The adjustable bridge was replaced a few years ago with an era correct 1965 B-25 bridge keeping this guitar as close to Gibson specs of the era while increasing functionality. The truss rod works and the neck looks good for its age, the guitar play well with low action and plenty of saddle for adjustments. The nut is 1 11/16″ and the neck has a comfortable C shape. There is a slight lower bout bulge below the bridge which has been addressed during the bridge repair and it does not affect playability. This guitar comes with original chipboard case, original adjustable bridge and original cable from Gibson. An historic guitar in superb playing condition.GibsonModelJ-160EFinishSunburstCategoriesBuilt-in ElectronicsDreadnoughtYear1965Made InUnited StatesFretboard MaterialRosewoodColor FamilyBrownString TypeSteelPickupSurface Mounted PickupRight / Left HandedRight HandedNumber of Strings6-StringNeck MaterialMahoganyModel Sub-FamilyGibson J-160EBody ShapeDreadnoughtFinish PatternSunburstModel FamilyGibson J-160SeriesGibson Kalamazoo Factory EraBack MaterialMahoganySides MaterialMahoganyTop MaterialHigh Pressure LaminateActive PreampNoNumber of Frets20
