1965 Chrysler Newport

Description: About this vehicle 1965 was first year for true C body production by Chrysler. Total 1965 Newport production for two-door hardtop coupe 23,655. Seller's Notes Title in hand. Cash or bank wire transfer only. Vehicle Details Very original, unmodified car. Respray on exterior sides, great patina on top. I’ve considered spraying a clearcoat to seal on the patina, but have not gotten to it. Some dings, scratches, surface rust. Rocker panels in front of rear wheel need rust patch repair. Trunk floor needs rust attention. Overall, very solid original car. Chrome and trim are very good with most being excellent. Original interior including carpet and seats. Drivers seat has torn insert material. Headliner has some mouse damage, but it’s still better than not having a headliner. Heater works great. Air conditioning was converted to new Freon, needs recharged. Complete front end rebuild, including upper and lower control arm bushings, upper ball joints, lower ball joints, tie rod ends, KYB shocks front and rear. New master cylinder, front wheel cylinders, brake shoes, mounting hardware. Fresh alignment. Car drives straight and true down the road. Original 383 two barrel fires right up and runs smooth with no issues. Petronix ignition added. Has dual exhaust with turbo mufflers installed. Very nice sounding without being obnoxious. Fresh oil change and tune up. This is a great driving car. I have been turning into a reliable daily driver. What’s it need? My next project was going to be rear brakes and rear leaf springs. Eventually new tires will be in order. Speedometer works great, but odometer is not functional. Radio did work but did not when pics were taken. All lights work as they should.
