Description: 1965 Cessna 182 Skylane Owner's Manual. D-282-13 printed 11-5-64 per the bottom of page i. This very original, sound, factory owner's manual is in good enough, used condition. The cover is mostly clean, but there are some oil(?) stains on the back. The cover is fairly well worn, and it has some impressions, a gentle vertical bend, and a corner crease on the back. The cover had become free from the original staples and was splitting a bit at the top and bottom of the spine. I have repaired and reinforced the corner crease at the lower outside corner of the rear cover and the spine of the cover, on the inside with a couple of pieces of self-adhesive postage label, and on the outside with a couple of pieces of clear packing tape. I have properly installed 4 new staples. The cover is now quite sound and very well attached, however, it does spring open just a tad following the restapling. A former owner's N# is written on the front cover, and this has bled through a bit to the inside front cover. For aesthetics, I have covered the N# with a small piece of self-adhesive postage label. A few tiny highlighter marks are found at the top of the inside front cover and page 3-2 only. Pencil marks are found on page iii, and pencil notes and cyphering is found on and around the Weight and Balance table on page 3-4 only. These pencil marks and notes have been removed by soft eraser, faint artifacts may be visible. A single tiny little pen dot is found in the Weight and Balance envelope on page 3-6. There is a bit of soil on page 6-1. All shown in the photos. There is patina throughout as you might expect of a manual of this vintage. That is it. That's plenty. Sure, the cover needed some work, but only a handful of pages had some marks, and the book is now quite sound and complete, and it is quite ready to go another 56 years... or even longer. Printed 11-5-64 per the first page i. It's really not bad at all for a 56 year old manual. Always check for revisions, supplements, and updates with vintage manuals.If your old 65 Skylane book looks like crap, buy this one. The manual will be securely packaged and properly labeled.
