Description: This is a 1962 Mexican Ex Voto painting on Tin,depicting a man being run over by a blue truck, with a woman on her knees holding a votive candle praying the the saint above for his recovery. The text reads:"Mr. Juan Hernandez, having fallen off a truck ending up very beat up,and after his woman M. Dolores Rodriguez saw that he was very bad, she entrusted the Virgen de San Juan de los Lagos to return him his health,and she promised to give thanks with a retablo.Silao, Gunajuato, 27th of October of 1962." This is a very interesting retablo, and the truck accident makes this a very collectible piece. The Hecho En Mexico Sticker was applied by the previous owner to export them. Approx.
