Description: 2nd in the series, Pinocchio’s Christmas Story Strip. Starting in 1960 with Peter Pan’s Christmas, the month leading up to Christmas, Disney ran a 4 week Christmas Comic strip (King Features) in newspapers. This large promotional foldout, was advertising the comic to newspapers around the world, advertising that this comic helped build circulation for those papers. It showed an advanced look at the 4 week spread. The comics would not be in the regular comic section of the newspaper, but would be printed on a random page which they believed help promote the newspaper circulation. Measures roughly 20 by 28.25 inches when open. Poster size, could be great framed to see a portion of the comics! Folded 7 by 10 inches. Some of the comics are unique in the fact that they mixed characters from other storylines. This one has Pinocchio, Dr. Worthington Foulfellow, Jiminy Cricket and Santa.
