Description: This is the great, rare, original set of fourteen (3-1/2” by 5”) photographs, showing nice, early views of the (then) brand new Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa. (See scans) Dignitaries, the band and several different views of the “Opening Ceremonies” are presented here. I have never seen this set before! Newly acquired from a large, local collection, these items are hand dated 1961, old and original, and in good condition but with some curling from age, and one corner fold on one photo only.
