Description: LIVING ESTATE SALE (Details at the end of description) For your consideration is a Wilesco D12 Live Steam Engine made in Germany in the1960s. The Live Steam Engine is in good condition. It has been air tested (video) and should not give much trouble to operate on steam. It is complete, including the original box that is in poor condition but still offers some protection. It is all original except for the whistle that was missing. It has been replaced with a new Wilesco whistle of a modern style. The D12 Single Cylinder was discontinued a while back. Distilled water is highly recommended. The whitish residue that you can notice on the water level window is coming from the use of tap water. The calcium in the water creates the deposit, hence the importance of distilled water. The residue typically cleans up by filling the boiler with distilled water and vinegar. CLR also helps. Please note that if an item has been only "air tested", it might need some work or adjustments to make it run on steam. Often, older gaskets have dried up and need replacement.
