1960's Detectron Rayscope metal detector - pop art, vgc, rarity, super clean

Description: Wow - what a find! I picked up this lovely piece of Americana a few years ago and would love to see it go to someone who appreciates industrial design. This is one of the earliest consumer metal detector models sold in the US. The company was Detectron, which was later bought out by Rayscope. The name on the inside label (which is still fully intact!) is crossed out in black marker but I make out 'Detectron' on the left. If the company had been sold to Rayscope, it would make sense it was crossed out. Works on a 67.5V battery. I'm not including one but there are aftermarket batteries available. One can be found here: https://www.batteriesinaflash.com/exell-416a-alkaline-67-5v-180mah-battery-neda-217-replaces-a416-er-416?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=1o2&scid=scplp416A&sc_intid=416A&gclid=CjwKCAiA3abwBRBqEiwAKwICA12XNr_DxduPj0Rd-PWr6xqZMv_J_i-mBiHoCGmtKyizghaWPfrC_hoCjvwQAvD_BwE#details Paint is in amazing condition given the age. This was purchased from the original owner who bought it in the 1960's and never really used it. Sat in a garage until it was cleaned up and offered at a garage sale. The original owner says has not been repainted nor touched up. I don't see any evidence of painting either - when opening the battery case, the red is the same as the exterior and the painted bronze color extends into the inner casing. I can't see someone taking the time to paint that when all the badges and labels are definitely intact. The worst nicks and scratches in the paint are on the bronze paint on the handle - look through the photos. There's very, very minor paint issues everywhere else. Again, see the photos. Visually, it's a little suprematist sculpture. Everything is steel or aluminum except the round disk, which feels like wood. It's a beautiful object and will be packaged extremely well accordingly.
